Charts, Targets, and Prints
One of the most crucial assets in filmmaking quality control, test charts and targets are heavily used in both production and post-production. While test charts can be useful for inspecting the unique characteristics of different lens and camera combinations, other targets like a lens distortion chart (or lens distortion checker grid) are a necessity for the visual effects pipeline to precisely map the unique distortion of each lens used during the production.
